Realization and Lessons for The Parable of the Two Sons (by S.Mars)

I can actually relate to both sons because I, sometimes, can't keep my promise and other times I refuse to but eventually end up doing the work.
And these are the lessons I learned from this parable:

  1. God wants us to respond to the message of the kingdom.
  2. We shouldn't be complacent in doing God's commandments.
  3. Don't be like the second son whose actions contradict his words.
  4. Don't be self righteous like the Pharisees.
  5. The gospel is great news for the sinners.

Realization and Lessons for Why Does the Church Need Me? (by S.Ani)

Why You Need To Belong to a Church???

There are at least 5 reasons why you should want to belong to a church:-

First of all, in a church you are given the right and privilege to focus on what is important: worshipping the Lord. It’s a place you can run to when you are feeling low or depressed or you need some encouragement.

Second, your faith grows stronger once you belong to a church because you become invested in its goals, services, and people.

Third, a church will help you face your problems. You will become courageous. Any discouragement or sadness you have to face is easier when you have church family.

Fourth, being in a church family will steer you in the right direction. If you are unsure of what God wants for you, the church family can help you discover your purpose in life.
Finally, it’s a real home so the sense of belonging you will enjoy is real. This is where you find peace, love, and worthy relationships.

Realization and Lessons for Why Does the Church Need Me? (by S.Bless)

Nowadays, we cultivate our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through attending online church activities, worship services, prayer meetings, Bible group studies/reading.  As the body of Christ, we are also to cultivate our relationship with each other.  The Christian life is not meant to live in isolation from other people; instead, as Christians, we need to be a part of a church where we are to grow spiritually as a community of believers.  And as we share our spiritual gift/s for the benefit of the church,  we also need to spur one another on toward love and good deeds and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:24-25) through fellowship and witnessing for Christ.

Realization and Lessons for Whatever You Do, Do It as a Ministry (by S.Bless)

God's Word:
“Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3:17 NIV).

My reflection:
According to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 CSB "19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body."  As Christians, in all the things that we do, we must always do it for the glory of God, for we are His possession.  We do not own our lives anymore, and it is our highest goal to please Him in everything so we may bring glory to His name. (1 Cor 10:31 CSB "31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God." )

God's Word:
Colossians 3:17 NASB1995
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Reflection:
As believers and followers of Jesus, when we do our work, we give it our best because it should be done "for the Lord and not for men." (Colossians 3:23 NASB 1995).  We aim to please the Lord in whatever we say or do because at the end of it all, we are accountable to Him.  We should remember also that whatever we do, reflects on Him.  As we represent Him here on earth, we must be careful not to become a stumbling block for others, especially non-believers, so they may see and be encouraged that the Lord is truly good.

Realization and Lessons for WHAT IS MISSING FROM THE CH CH? UR (by S.Bless)

God's Word:
Hebrews 10:19-25
19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Reflection:
As we approach God in His holy place, we have the assurance and confidence in Jesus, as He is our Great Priest, continually interceding for us (John 8:34; John 17:9; Hebrews 7:25) to the Father.  As true followers of Jesus, we can confidently know that God sees not our sins anymore but the righteousness of Jesus in us,  our sins are forgiven and we are washed clean through the power of the holy blood of Jesus on the cross when we accepted Him, in faith, as our personal Lord and Savior.

MESSAGE 3:

Praying for God’s presence, protection, providence and peace be upon you and your household! May you be blessed with today’s message and spiritual songs. Blessed Sunday and the week ahead! MESSAGE 3: ALBA- Motivation of Christ out of LOVE. Part 1 From our quest to discover our SHAPE, it has led us to focus on spiritual maturity by growing our character as presented by Dr. David Jeremiah in his book ALBA on the fruit of the Spirit. Before we study the teachings from the book, we’ve established the fact that it is a fruit that has 9 important ingredients; not 9 fruits of the Spirit and each fruit represents a born-again believer who, rightly so, is on a journey towards maturity. The formation of these ingredients is of utmost importance because it could well determine the quality of the lives we live now and how they will be evaluated by God in its eternity. Out of the 9 ingredients the first is LOVE. We believe that it is the most integral and foundational part of the formation pro...

MESSAGE 5:

To recap, we mentioned about: 1. Obedience out of LOVE. 2. Responsibility out of LOVE. 3. Justice out of LOVE. 4. Compassion out of LOVE. 5. Peace out of LOVE. 6. Mercy out of LOVE. Today, we shall complete this topic by completing the last 3 of the 9 motivations of Christ out of LOVE. 7. Humility out of LOVE. We could never fully understand Christ’s love for us “Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:6-8). He was born in a humble setting (Luke 2:7). His own town folks did not believe in Him (Matthew 13:53-58 & Luke 4:28-30). By His own people, He was treated like a criminal (Matthew 27:15-26) and was rejected to the point of crucifying Him on the Cross. He could have called legions of ang...

MESSAGE 4:

MESSAGE 4: ALBA-  Motivation of Christ out of LOVE. Part 2 To recap, we mentioned about: 1. Obedience out of LOVE. 2. Responsibility out of LOVE. 3. Justice out of LOVE. Today, we will focus on the next 3 out of the 9 motivations of Christ out of LOVE. 4. Compassion out of LOVE. Mark 6:34: “And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So, He began to teach them many things.” Matthew 14:14: “And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.” We can also read of Jesus emphasizing this in the story of “The Good Samaritan” in Luke 10:25-37. Compassion is defined as “That (human) disposition that fuels acts of kindness and mercy. It is a form of love, aroused within us when we are confronted with those who suffer or are vulnerable. Compassion often produces action to alleviate the suffering.” It embodies a tangible exp...
